Reigning World and Olympic Champions to Compete in Rome Diamond League Pole Vault

Sam Kendricks will compete in the pole vault May 31 at the Rome Diamond League meeting, according to the IAAF.

Kendricks, the reigning IAAF World Outdoor champion will take on the 2016 Olympic champion Thiago Braz from Brazil. Also in the field is Piotr Lisek of Poland. All three men have cleared six meters (19-8.25) or better in the past two years.

All three men will compete five days before Rome at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene.
